Film Poster Analysis

Blade Runner Blade Runner is a film that was produced in 1982. Its stars Harrison Ford and it is a sci-fi action movie. The film poster features Harrison Ford and Sean Young. The Blade Runner poster possesses key conventions of sci-fi genre. The buildings shown underneath Harrison and Sean are futuristic and modern. This contrasts to the female protagonist. Her makeup costume and hair suggests that she is from the 80's. The futuristic buildings along with the galactic-like gun held by the male protagonist suggest that this movie may include a time travel element, which again indicates that this is apart of the sci-fi genre.  Scary Movie 2 From looking at the movie poster, you can immediately tell that it is not a traditional horror movie despite the title of the film as it does not include many key conventions of a horror/thriller movie poster.
