Mise-en-scene blog task

Film & TV Language: Mise-en-scene blog tasks   Mise-en-scene blog task Create a blogpost called 'Mise-en-scene blog tasks' on your  Media 2 coursework  blog and complete the following tasks from your Film and TV Language booklet: 1) Find a distinctive  still image  and write an analysis of the mise-en-scene. Use each of the aspects you've learned in the lesson. Mise-en-scene analysis Costume  The adult male in this image seen wearing clothing and equipment that is typically seen to be worn by soldiers that are deployed to other countries to either fight or protect civilians. The choice of this costume coveys his role in society in this still image to the viewer.  The male child is wearing standard clothing seen worn by teenagers or children. However, his clothes appear to be tarnished and ruined by mud or black smoke. The ruined and stained clothing is used to present to the viewer that he has been involved in an incident that has left his clothes discoloured. Lighting 

Film Poster Analysis

Blade Runner Blade Runner is a film that was produced in 1982. Its stars Harrison Ford and it is a sci-fi action movie. The film poster features Harrison Ford and Sean Young. The Blade Runner poster possesses key conventions of sci-fi genre. The buildings shown underneath Harrison and Sean are futuristic and modern. This contrasts to the female protagonist. Her makeup costume and hair suggests that she is from the 80's. The futuristic buildings along with the galactic-like gun held by the male protagonist suggest that this movie may include a time travel element, which again indicates that this is apart of the sci-fi genre.  Scary Movie 2 From looking at the movie poster, you can immediately tell that it is not a traditional horror movie despite the title of the film as it does not include many key conventions of a horror/thriller movie poster.
